I started college Spanish in 2010 and completed my bachelor’s degree in Spanish Business and Careers, from Grand View University in 2015 with the intention of transferring these acquired skills.
After the completion of my Spanish degree I knew what it would take to make a difference. I would offer Spanish to inner city students of any age, through non-profit services; to reinforce scholastic academia and/or teach non-native speakers.
Thus, I was compelled to again further my education with a Master’s degree as an Education Specialist, from the University of the Southwest, December of 2018; allowing me to teach any subject including Spanish, as deemed necessary.
It was now time to set the foundation for the World Language Center of Des Moines. Which meant I had another requirement, to attain a Teaching License. Thus I attended Des Moines’s very own Drake University and earned a second Mater’s degree in Spanish Education K-8. It has been an enriching journey.
